Meredith Kufchak, violist, began her musical studies at the age of 4 with pedagogue Deborah Price. Born into a gifted musical family of 6 siblings, Ms. Kufchak has been surrounded by musicians her entire life. Her facility as a musician and natural abilities allowed her to add the violin on to her list of skills, playing for several years and leading her school orchestra as concertmaster.
After graduating high school, Ms. Kufchak was invited to continue her studies as a Bachelors of Music at Rice University's esteemed Shepherd School of Music on full scholarship. There she studied viola performance with Ivo-Jan van der Werff, orchestra, and chamber music with the school's highly regarded faculty.
Her musical endeavors have taken her, as a performing artist, to several countries. She has appeared in such festivals as Yellow Barn and Tanglewood Music Center, as well Chamber Music Connection in Ohio where she has been an artist as well as a coach working with children k-12.
Ms. Kufchak is currently studying with Jodi Levitz at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music for a Masters in Chamber Music.
